The Wave, Arizona photos by Simon J. Byrne
The Wave is a sandstone rock formation near the Arizona and Utah border, located in the Paria Canyon-Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness. the renowned Wave is made of 190-million-year-old Navajo sandstone, ancient sand dunes that calcified in vertical and horizontal layers.
